From a trainee’s perspective, doing both tai chi or yoga is not counterproductive. Both exercises have positive consequences on a trainee’s body or overall health. When doing either yoga or tai chi, it is important to consider what value you are gaining from such exercises. Considering the costs of doing both yoga or tai chi is also advisable because what matters is how their combinations fit in your overall life goals.
When doing yoga as a physical exercise, then you can also do tai chi. However, you should not mix yoga with tai chi seeing that these practices encourage the breathing and flow of energy in different ways. If you are using yoga or tai chi as spiritual practices, then you can easily overload yourself. This means that it is counterproductive to do both yoga or tai chi since you will be overdoing those two practices. Yoga differs with tai chi in terms of flow of energy, which means that a person trying to do both practices will end up not benefiting at all. Both tai chi or even yoga help the trainer to become more flexible and healthy. The tai chi looks simple to practice but a workout involving yoga or tai chi can make a trainer sore for some time.
Unfortunately, yoga or tai chi have a difference where yoga involves more meditation while being in a state of meditation. Tai chi involves a calm atmosphere where trainers learn more about defense or being aware of your opponent. This exercise helps seniors to avoid minor accidents like falling or slipping by helping them get a better balance of their feet. Finding a good yoga teacher or instructor is generally easier than finding a Tai chi instructor, this is because tai chi takes longer to master.
Consequently, when tai chi is done well, your body generally feels good. If a tai chi exercise is done regularly, the body tends to feel better with time as the trainer gets a more fit body. The advantage tai chi has over yoga is that tai chi is easy to do in whatever shape a trainer is in. Immediately a trainer indulges in tai chi, they can experience whatever benefits tai chi brings, meaning a trainee experiences good results immediately.
Tai chi is not an art that enables a trainee to master martial arts only after a handful of years, rather it takes several years to master tai chi or martial arts related to tai chi. This is evident in explaining why there are few tai chi masters who are not fake.
